Who invented cornhole?
The exact origins of cornhole are unclear, but the game is believed to have originated in the Midwest United States, particularly in Ohio and Kentucky, in the early 20th century. It is said to have been played by farmers using improvised boards and bags filled with corn kernels as a form of entertainment during their downtime.
The modern game of cornhole as we know it today, with standardized rules and equipment, is credited to three friends from Cincinnati, Ohio, named Chris Weddle, Matt Ulman, and Dave Yohe. They invented and popularized the modern version of the game in the 1990s, and went on to found the American Cornhole Organization (ACO) in 2005, which helped to establish cornhole as a legitimate and competitive sport. Since then, cornhole has become a popular game played by millions of people across the United States and around the world.
